Nabil Tabbah has overseen the family of jewellers and developed its direction to bring it to international recognition. Under his supervision Tabbah’s evolution went from a regionally reputable name to the current-day status where the Tabbah signature is sought after by collectors throughout the world.
Two decades in Europe established Tabbah as an international jewellery house where they were exposed to and dealt with the most important and historical stones. Nabil received prizes and recognition for his achievements, which ensured his position as an accomplished, internationally-lauded jeweller.
Nabil’s work is predominantly occupied with creating unique pieces of jewellery for specific commissions.
Now in his fifth decade as a jeweller, Nabil has worked to ensure that the Tabbah name is synonymous with discretion, creative vision and quality. “Quality is key in the design, workmanship and stones. We create timeless pieces, not classical, but with a twist,” he says. Under his supervision Tabbah has become a collectable signature, with Christie’s auction house contacting him with assurances of interest in the market for Tabbah pieces. In 1997 President of Christie’s, Francois Curiel, wrote “Jewels signed Tabbah are greatly sought after by collectors throughout the world.” For the future, Nabil says: “Rather than hopes, I have one ambition: to go forward in the definition of Tabbah.”
